The
Book of James (Chapter 1, verses 2, 3) reminds us of what to do when we experience
trials.
Dear brothers and
sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to
grow.
If
there was ever a time when we need to understand how to deal with a chaotic troubled
world, it is now. I don’t know about you, but I lose sleep at night thinking
about my family and their future. What kind of world are we turning over to
them! Wars
and rumors of wars. Anti-spiritual bias. Anything goes. Fractured families. Accepting the new “normal” of lives.
I
have decided to blog my way through the Book of James. I don’t know how long it
will take, but I encourage readers to stick with me. The outcomes are very
promising.
For
today, let’s just concentrate on being joyful despite our individual circumstances.
I know that is difficult for most of us. Begin with a small step. Look around
and focus on one thing that gives you joy in your life. Remember God promises
you even more. Like endurance ... and we could all use more endurance!
