Great is your faithfulness, O Lord,
Great is your faithfulness!
The
refrain from the popular hymn reminds us of God’s unwavering love for His
believers. His love for us is available continuously every day, and we can rely
on that promise during trials and tribulation. His love and peace are unfathomable,
infinite and are always offered to overcome the most difficult experiences in
life.
If
God’s love is so abundant, why then do some hold back their love and concern
from others. Here are a few possible reasons.
Some
of us may not be a “people person” who are comfortable reaching out to others.
Others cannot overcome generational differences and personal backgrounds. Some
face fatigue from serving the Lord. It’s now time to take a break.
Why
not face each morning with the promise that the Lord’s mercies being poured out
afresh upon our concerns? Know no young people? Or senior adult? Focus on one
and start praying for him/her no matter how brief or fleeting the prayer may
be. Trust the Lord will provide an opportunity to share who you are praying for
during your quiet-time.
Dealing
with a fractured family? Pray for wisdom and direction. Any situation can
improve through prayer and God’s steadfast love.
Concerned
with personal issues? Pray for the Lord to reveal what would work for your set of
circumstances.
